CQC Assured team has a combined experience of 20 years in healthcare regulation.

We have been successfully supporting our members with CQC governance and compliance issues before, during and after inspections. Our team is led by Ann Cox, Adam O’Donnell and Amar Gandavadi.

Ann Cox

Ann previously worked at CQC for 4 years. Following this, she moved into a senior governance and compliance role at a GP federation in London where she now works as Chief Operating Officer. Ann has a wealth of experience managing the governance and compliance requirements for a range of primary care services and has developed a library of support tools and policies, available on our provider portal, to help practices with all things CQC. Adam recently joined the team after working for seven years as a CQC inspector specialising in primary care.

Adam O’Donnell

Adam recently joined the team after working for seven years as a CQC inspector specialising in primary care. Adam has extensive experience of every component of the CQC compliance framework including inspection, factual accuracy responses, enforcement processes and ratings reviews. Adam also has in depth knowledge of the most recent developments at CQC including; the incoming changes to CQC’s regulatory approach, the new clinical searches used to assess clinical safety and effectiveness and CQC monitoring calls and assessments; which are used to determine if an inspection is required.

Amar Gandavadi

Amar recently joined Kingston GP Chambers after working for seven and half years as a CQC inspector specialising in primary care. Amar has extensive experience on CQC regulations for GPs and Independent Health Services. Amar also has in depth knowledge of the recent developments at CQC including; internal changes in the CQC inspection teams to Integrated Assessment and Inspection Teams (IAIT); forthcoming changes to CQC’s regulatory approach, the clinical searches used to assess clinical safety and effectiveness in GP practices; internal CQC indicators used to determine the need for monitoring calls with providers; monitoring calls with providers to determine if further regulatory action is required. Amar has previously worked in NHS Trusts for over six years and extensive experience in clinical effectiveness and clinical governance. He is also a practising physiotherapist with over 10 years’ experience in the private sector.

Not only does our team have in-depth knowledge of CQC requirements but also considerable experience of challenging reports at the factual accuracy stage and supporting practices who have been subject to enforcement action.
